Etienne Sisters follows three sisters navigating the aftermath of their mother's death as secrets surface and family bonds are tested.
While Tree and Ree struggle with grief, their estranged sister Bo suddenly re-enters their lives. Together, they confront shifting power dynamics and redefine what their sisterhood will become.
Set in the mid 90's the production utilizes music to bring these heavy emotional arcs to life. The quintessential 90's style brings each of the girls' personalities to the forefront, highlighting their strained relationships.
Standing out from the intimate yet uncomfortable space they reside in.
The set design reinforces the sisters' conflict through a recurring motif of three, symbolising the evolution of their familial connections and rivalries.
"A grave marker sits on a simple raised triangular staging prism... at the heart of the stage throughout, representing the strength of the sisters as well as the shifting power dynamics between them." - Backstage Bristol
