For this project we were tasked with creating a speculative performance piece surrounding 1/2 prisoners that had spent time in the National Justice Museum when it was a prison. These speculative designs were then to go on display at the museum.

Working with the National Justice Museum i developed a concept shedding light on two female's juvenile criminals of the past. Elizabeth Simpson and Hannah Grocock were two individuals had been imprisoned at the same time, i decide to flip this on its head. These two women had been imprisoned for theft of varying degrees, i used my performance to create a meaningful message conveying how not only historically, but also in the present, women of lower classes are forced to turn to crime in order to keep themselves and their children alive and fed.

This was conveyed mainly through costume design and minimal props as we weren't allowed to make any permanent changes to the space due to it being a historical building.
